tyler-milfeldTyler’s marketing and sales career spans four of America’s most storied companies – The Hershey Company, Colgate-Palmolive, PepsiCo, and Johnson & Johnson. His extensive marketing experience includes roles in brand, shopper, innovation, global equity, and customer activation. He currently works at The Hershey Company in Global Marketing.

Among Tyler’s most memorable marketing accomplishments: pioneered digital & social strategy with a leading customer, engineered brand re-launches both at home and abroad, and launched breakthrough products in multiple categories.

As a lifelong student in human behavior, Tyler’s area of expertise is integrating psychology and marketing. Tyler’s favorite books, which he often references to provide a unique perspective on business challenges, include The Invisible Gorilla, Buyology, and Why We Buy. His true passion is inspiring students to think critically and achieve breakthrough insight. Tyler is well-known for his unmatched enthusiasm and collaborative approach.

Tyler is teaching “Marketing in the Digital Age” and developed a case-based, experiential approach to the course.

An avid runner, Tyler has completed 50 half-marathons in 34 states. He is well on his way to running one in every state. He and his wife, Darcie, have two young children and a beagle. Tyler is fluent in Spanish and lived in Santiago, Chile, for 13 months while completing his graduate work.

Tyler earned his dual M.B.A. from the University of Texas and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He also holds a B.A. from Northwestern University with a double major in psychology and political science.
