Director, Adult and Professional Studies,
Dawn has been instructing college/university courses for over 15 years in communications, leadership, management, organizational behavior and general education. She primarily facilitates working adults in accelerated undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
She currently works at Harrisburg University as a full time administrator overseeing the Adult Degree Program. Dawn has been involved in all aspects of researching, developing and managing this new program. She has 20 years of hands-on experience in higher education administration with private, state and community college systems. She is active in several national associations and served as the (2012-2013) Chair for the Council for Accelerated Programs (CAP) a leader in adult accelerated learning, and continues as a board member since 2009; has developed and presented national webinars, presentations and workshops for CAP, the Council for Experiential Learning (CAEL), and the Association for Continuing Higher Education (ACHE). Dawn has also consulted at several institutions of higher learning on accelerated and/or adult programs.
On a personal note, Dawn had actively participated in cleanup and rebuilding efforts on the Gulf coast after Hurricane Katrina with Lend a Hand. She visited Kenya to work in a mico-community with Horizon Initiative, traveled to the Arctic Circle, Alaska to learn about Native Americans and has participated with numerous local volunteer organizations. She is also an avid runner.
She holds masters’ degrees in Business Administration (MBA) and Education (M.Ed).
